How does a team of eight serve the needs of over 130,000 members? As a member of the HOSA National Executive Council, David Kelly believes that all teams function the same way – whether they serve one individual or millions – it is in service to each, one at a time.
An Oklahoma native, David is a senior at Edmond Memorial High School and starting his third year at the Biosciences and Medicine Academy at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. Before moving to Edmond, his educational experience included attending the American School of The Hague in The Netherlands. David served HOSA as State President of Oklahoma, and he competed in both HOSA Bowl and the Kaiser Permanente Healthcare Issues Exam.
David’s involvement in HOSA is driven by his desire to become a trauma surgeon in a metropolitan hospital. He credits HOSA with the development of many of his leadership and professional skills. David believes that HOSA inspires members to give back to their community in the most valuable way – with their time. He knows that his membership in HOSA will continue to help him accomplish his goals.
