We all know that it only takes one storm to have severe impact, which is why we wanted to remind you that Rx Response stands ready to support any disaster that has wide-spread impact to pharmaceutical supply, and that all of our services are offered at no cost to government partners.
After Hurricane Katrina, Rx Response was created as a charitable organization to help ensure that during disasters patients can access the medicines they need. The organization was created to be an information-sharing and problem-solving coalition, so both public and private sector stakeholders across the entire bio-pharmaceutical supply chain can prepare for and maintain operations during disasters.
Rx Response provides:

- One on one support for local government hurricane preparedness and planning
- Rx On the Run, an online tool that enables print out of a personalized medication wallet card that documents prescriptions, dosages, and other important medical information
- Real time information on Rx Response activations and activities at

For municipal leadership and local governments worried for their critical patient populations during a hurricane or natural disaster, we strongly recommend they take advantage of Rx Response services and resources.
