Keep Up on Happenings at the Annual Meeting

Keep Up on Happenings at the Annual Meeting

04.12.11 | By Kate Connors

In launching this blog earlier this year, we said that our goal would be to create a place to share ideas, provide the perspective of America's biopharmaceutical companies and, most importantly, listen to you and learn together. Now, as we approach our annual meeting, beginning Thursday, we think it's the perfect time and place to create opportunities for members of our community to be an active part of the conversation. Check back often on Wednesday (as we begin to gear up for the meeting) as well as on Thursday and Friday, when we plan to update at a fast pace to help keep readers abreast of what's going on in Jersey City.

Here is what we have in store:

PhRMA Innovation Listening Gallery: We will invite participants to share their thoughts on innovation with their peers in what we're calling the Innovation Listening Gallery. We'll highlight these comments on a large wall and invite you to participate via multiple channels: www.phrma.org/meeting.

Live Tweeting and Blogging: For the latest updates, you can follow us on Twitter, @PhRMA and @KateAtPhRMA, or check The Catalyst for live updates throughout the meeting. Also, we've invited our member companies to share their ideas on their own blogs - be sure to look for what they have to say and add your comments to the conversation.

Tweet Lounge: We encourage everyone in the Twitterverse to include the hashtag #PhRMA11 as they tweet during the meeting - whether from the meeting floor in Jersey City or from points across the globe. Visit our meeting page to see what people are saying right now, and come back during the meeting for more. You can also send us a tweet or use #PhRMA11 to join the conversation. We look forward to hearing from you.

In VIVO Blog: In addition to yours truly, Ramsey Baghdadi, from RPM Report and the In VIVO Blog, will be blogging regularly from the annual meeting. Check out his posts for some third-party insight into the goings on at the meeting and follow him on Twitter: @Ramsey_Baghdadi.

LiveStream and Daily Videos: We're broadcasting several discussion panels live and will also post round-up videos of short interviews with attendees in the Listening Gallery. Check the meeting page for additional details. After the event, visit the PhRMAPress YouTube channel for additional clips.

Our hope is that opening these types of forums via conversations and communities at the annual meeting will help to further jump-start our efforts to communicate better with you - the public, the stakeholders, and America's patients.
