Medicines in Development for Cancer: A Timeline
In 400 B.C., Hippocrates first used the word "carcinoma" to describe a tumor. Since then, scientists have made leaps and bounds in the field of cancer research, much of it occuring in the wake of the U.S. declaring "The War on Cancer" in 1971.
