Medicare Part D Series: Just Getting Started

Medicare Part D Series: Just Getting Started

08.26.11 | By Kate Connors

Since launching The Catalyst earlier this year, we've covered a number of economic, health and policy issues that, regardless of outcome, stand to impact millions worldwide. In our first post, we made the point that none of us have all the answers, which makes it especially critical that we hear from a range of experts, thought leaders and Catalyst readers to get to the bottom of key issues.

To that end, next week we'll begin a recurring blog series exploring Medicare Part D, which celebrated its fifth anniversary in January and has consistently come in under budget, attained high satisfaction among beneficiaries, and even saved Medicare money in nondrug costs.

We've talked a lot about Part D on the blog, but thought we'd turn our microphones over to others whose thoughts our readers may be interested to hear. Early next week, we'll begin with an interview with former HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson.

Over the next few weeks, we'll continue providing you with insight from, well, people other than Grady and me for once. If there's anything specific that you'd like to see covered, please include thoughts in the comments section below.
