The Partnership for Prescription Assistance Also Helping With Storm Relief

The devastation caused by the string of tornadoes and storms continues to be felt. We've already blogged a couple of times on what Rx Response is doing to assist state and local emergency managers. But circumstances call for additional help for many of the region's uninsured patients, and the Partnership for Prescription Assistance is also stepping in to help. As it has in past emergencies, the PPA will be including a disaster relief form at its website and for use by its call-center operators to help expedite requests for assistance from uninsured patients in storm ravaged states.

Patients, caregivers and health care providers can contact the PPA and link to the disaster relief form at www.pparx.org or by calling toll-free 1-888-477-2669. PPA is a coalition sponsored by PhRMA and made up of more than 1,500 national, state and local partners working with America's biopharmaceutical companies to connect uninsured and financially struggling patients to patient assistance programs that provide access to prescription medicines for free or nearly free.
