Biopharmaceutical research companies are conducting or have conducted more than 2,500 clinical trials of new medicines in collaboration with the state’s local research institutions, clinical research centers, and hospitals (2004 to present).

“It is known that biological differences exist in how people respond to certain therapies. The staff and physicians at ICTS understand that various people may experience the same disease processes and treatments differently. This is why increasing diversity in clinical trials participants is critical and we are very happy to be a part of the ICCR in order to help create a stronger voice for this need in Iowa.” —Kristine Majors, Co-owner of Integrated Clinical Trials Services (Iowa Bio)
