AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness
Neha Chauhan is the Founder of AFA Teens: Teens for Alzheimer's Awareness, a branch of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America dedicated to youth advocacy. Since the program's inception in 2002, AFA Teens has grown to include a dedicated website (afateens.org), nationwide chapters, and an annual scholarship essay contest. Neha, at the age of 15, was inspired to take action when she learned that over 15,000 people suffered from Alzheimer's disease in her hometown of Staten Island, New York. As a young person, the opportunities to get involved and volunteer for the cause were limited. With the guidance and support of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, she worked to create an outlet for teenagers to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease.
Neha is currently pursuing her MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Previously, Neha was Chief Financial Officer of DANNIJO Jewelry, a luxury jewelry brand based in New York. Prior to this role, Neha worked at JPMorgan as an investment banking analyst. Neha graduated from Harvard College in 2008 with a BA in Sociology and Economics.
