PhRMA accepts comments from the general public and health care professionals regarding Direct to Consumer (DTC) advertisements conducted by any signatory company to the PhRMA Guiding Principles on Direct to Consumer Advertisements About Prescription Medicines.
PhRMA reports annually on the nature of the comments and the companies’ response, and provides copies of these reports to the FDA.

Procedures for Sending Comments
If you would like to submit a comment to the PhRMA Office of Accountability about a particular DTC advertisement, please follow these steps:
- PhRMA can only accept comments submitted via this email address.
- The comment should provide information sufficient to identify the company and/or DTC advertisement at issue.
- The comment should relate in some way to an aspect of DTC advertising covered by the Principles. Please be sure to include a working email or physical address so we can acknowledge receipt of your comment.
If your comment relates to an aspect of a signatory company’s advertising that is covered by the Principles, PhRMA will forward your comment to the relevant company for consideration.
