On January 9, PhRMA Chief Operating Officer Lori Reilly sat down with Rebecca Willumson at Fierce JPM Week to discuss how to improve patient access and affordability. Advocating for increased oversight of middlemen – known as pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) – and of the 340B program, Lori recommended policy solutions like ensuring PBMs share negotiated savings with patients at the pharmacy and making sure the 340B program reaches the low-income, vulnerable patients it was designed to help.
