The Capitol Hosts #PhRMA14

Another year of innovative research and development (R&D) to help patients around the world live longer, healthier lives has flown by. Beginning April 9, leaders from the biopharmaceutical industry, patient advocates, regulators, academics and others will gather in Washington, D.C. for this year’s PhRMA Annual Meeting.

#PhRMA14 will address opportunities and challenges facing the industry and how continued collaboration with experts from across the health care ecosystem will ultimately bolster hope and advance new treatments and cures. Even if you’re not attending in person, our goal is to ensure you’re part of the dialogue. To do that, we’re expanding our Conversations forum to report live from the meeting and discussing a number of different issues in real-time on The Catalyst, Facebook and Twitter. The PhRMA team will be live tweeting during the event using the #PhRMA14 hashtag, and we encourage you to follow us and watch the live stream to ask questions during the meeting.

Our speakers will examine a variety of issues facing the sector, including the importance of innovation and collaboration; access, quality and value in the U.S. health care system; and what opportunities could result from utilizing “Big Data.” As an industry, we’re looking forward to hearing more about these topics and more, but we also want to know what you want to hear. Leave a comment below to tell us!

We’ll be sharing more details about #PhRMA14 throughout the week, so be sure to check back here or on PhRMA.org for additional details. We’re looking forward to #PhRMA14 as we discuss new ways to continue to give patients hopes and find new cures.
