Tommy Thompson, Former Secretary, Health and Human Services
Tommy G. Thompson was the 42nd and longest serving Governor of the State of Wisconsin from 1987 to 2001. Thompson also served from 2001 to 2005 as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). Thompson has held numerous other positions including Chairman of AMTRAK, Independent Chairman of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions, senior partner at the law firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld LLP and serves and has served on the boards of various other publicly and privately held entities.
